Am I in Solo or Dealer?
SummitDesk has two workspace kinds. The switcher in the top bar decides which one you are in. Settings, deals, and permissions all follow that choice. They are never mixed.
Solo (personal workspace)
Built for an individual salesperson or F&I person.
- Your deals and follow-up live in your workspace (My Deals / portable book).
- Your home is Pulse, your book is My Deals, and SummitIQ answers questions about your numbers.
- Structure is not on a personal workspace. The desk is a dealership tool. A closer quoting tax and payments from a personal login is a liability, and stores will not want a second desk.
- SummitValue (trade appraisal) is on paid tiers, not Free.
- ACV (actual cash value on a trade) is not shown in Solo.
Dealer (organization workspace)
Built for a rooftop.
- Settings are shared (Rate Manager, products, fees, identity).
- The desk, TrackLine, Pulse, and Performix are team surfaces.
- Trade entry shows Allowance, Payoff, and ACV. ACV is internal. Customer Mode and customer PDFs do not print it.
If you belong to both
Use the workspace switcher before you change settings or wonder why a rate looks wrong. A personal quote and a store quote are not the same object.
Indie vs Franchise (dealer plans)
If the store is on an Indie plan, Structure is finance and cash. Lease, one-pay, and OEM program tools are off. Franchise plans keep those tools. See "What's the difference between Indie and Franchise?"
