Does SummitDesk handle taxes in my state?

The short answer

SummitDesk produces dealer-reviewed estimates. It prices a deal with state-aware tax and fee logic and the assumptions set up for your workspace. It is not a tax authority, a legal opinion, a lender decision, or your system of record.

We do not advertise exact tax or guaranteed compliance for every state. If your rooftop and state have not been checked, we would rather say "we'll find out" than give you a wrong yes.

What it does

A complete deal computes in every U.S. state plus D.C. and Puerto Rico, from the assumptions set up for your workspace.
When a local or special line cannot be priced from an official published source, the desk shows $0 with a visible, named reason (for example, that a local rate is not set up). It never invents a city rate.
Tax dollars are calculated from the deal and the customer's location every time. They are never typed into settings or frozen.
Where local vehicle-tax tables exist, they come from dated official sources. Some places that charge a local vehicle tax do not have a table yet; those lines show $0 with a reason until one is added. We do not publish a count, because it changes as tables are added.
We check the tax math against dealer-provided worksheets from real stores, state by state, and that set keeps growing. It is not a public list of states we are "certified" in.

What we will not tell you

That it handles your city's tax — until your rooftop and state have been checked.
That it is "compliant" in a given state. Compliance is your store's and your lender's call; SummitDesk gives you numbers you can trace.
That a state appearing in the picker means every local line in that state is covered.

What to do with the numbers

Confirm final figures against your lender, OEM program, store policy, and what your DMS will book. SummitDesk sits above that system of record. It does not replace it.
